Corner Bookmarks {up-cycled envelopes}

Slip the bookmark over the corner of the page.Turn junk mail envelopes into something fun but useful: a bookmark!

These easy to make bookmarks slip over the corner of the page. Decorate them in your own personal style. Let’s go!

You Will Need

  • unused envelope
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • ruler
  • decorations {glitter, crayons, markers, stickers, construction paper, etc)

Step-by-Step Instructions

Carefully open the envelope and remove the contents.

Choose which corner of the envelope you wish to use.

Starting from the tip of the corner, measure the same distances across the bottom and down the side of the envelope.

Mark the measurements with a pencil.

Use a ruler to draw a straight line from one measurement mark to the other creating a triangular shape.

Cut the triangular from the envelope using regular or fancy-edged scissors.

Decorate the corner bookmark with markers, stickers, construction paper, etc.

If you used glue, let the bookmark dry before using it.

How To Create a Envelope Bookmark Template

Use the corner you just cut from the envelope as a template.

Gently open the glued edges of the envelope bookmark.

Glue the opened bookmark to a piece of cereal box type of card board.

Cut out following along the edges of the bookmark.

Now you have a template!

Use the template to make bookmarks from card stock, felt, construction paper, etc. There are so many wonderful possibilities.
