HandMade Toy: Thunderbolts

Children will love playing with this easy hand-made paper toy from the 1890s.

  • Tissue paper in bright colors
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Ruler

Cut some colored paper into pieces about 4-in wide by 8-in long. (You can also stack several sheets together and cut them).

Then at one end of each piece cut it into strips about one-third of the length of the paper.

Pinch the uncut end of the paper together, and twist it tightly so that it will not come undone.
