What? No Card Stock?
Card stock templates make paper crafting easy. They allow you to always have a model to trace around onto fabric, paper, or another piece of card stock. Some craft projects even require printing directly to card stock instead of regular paper.
However, sometimes, you just don’t have card stock although a particular craft calls for it. What should you do?
Here is a List of Excellent Card Stock Substitutions
- cereal boxes
- index cards
- manilla folders
- food containers made from card stock type material
- product liners/boxes made from card stock type material
How to Use Card Stock Substitutes
First, you will need to print the original design on regular printer paper. You can also hand-draw it.
Next, cut out the design/template.
Then, glue the cut out to the card stock substitute.
Lastly, cut out the new “card stock” template/design from the card stock sub.
Thanks for these alternatives.
